A Voice for the Voiceless: The 2026 State Election

Marcia’s activism is taking on an exciting new frontier this year. Because animals cannot vote or speak out against cruelty in parliament, she has stepped up to be their voice by actively volunteering with the Animal Justice Party for the upcoming 2026 South Australia state election.

Working on the ground and advocating for genuine, systemic change in animal welfare legislation is a natural extension of her human rights work. She believes that justice and compassion should extend to all living creatures, and she is putting in the hard work behind the scenes to help make South Australia a safer, kinder place for animals.

The Heart Behind the Hustle: Lando and Django

If you want to know what drives Marcia's passionate fight for animal justice, you only have to look at her own family. Her everyday inspirations are her two beautiful rescue animals:

* Lando: A majestic rescue Black German Shepherd who is living proof that a second chance can create the most loyal, loving companion.

* Django: Her spunky and sweet rabbit who brings endless joy (and a little bit of bossiness!) to the household.

Lando and Django are the beating heart behind her advocacy, serving as a daily reminder that every animal deserves a safe harbor, protection, and unconditional love.
